Speech-Language Pathologist

Disha, an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist, completed her Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from India. With over 8 years of experience, she has provided SLP services at various schools, hospitals, and multidisciplinary centers. Since March 2021, Disha has been offering SLP services to children aged 0-18 years in Canada. She specializes in early intervention, autism spectrum disorder, language delays and disorders, articulation, augmentative and alternative communication, fluency, oral motor skills, apraxia of speech and social skills development. Disha enjoys interacting with children and believes in employing a play-based and child-led therapy approach in sessions. She provides individualized and evidence-informed therapy tailored to each child's needs.  She also strongly believes in teaching parents strategies they can use with their children at home and in the community.

 

Disha has achieved certifications in Oral Placement Therapy (Level 1 and 2) by Talk Tools, Project ImPACT, and LAMP. Additionally, she has experience working with adults with communication difficulties associated with aphasia, voice disorders, and stuttering.

 

Disha is a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia (CSHBC). She is also listed on the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP).

 

Disha is proficient in English, Hindi, Gujarati, and Marathi, and can also understand Punjabi.
