Speech-Language Pathologist

Nicola has been working as a Speech-Language Pathologist since 1990.

She has been employed in various settings: Health Unit, School District and programs for families with deaf and hard of hearing children under that age of 5 years. Nicola is registered with both the British Columbia and Speech-Language & Audiology Canada as well as with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia.

Nicola’s primary areas of expertise include working with preschool and school-aged children with communication impairments, non verbal and early language users, language disorders, assessing and treating articulation, social communication and literary. Nicola has extensive experience with deaf and hard of hearing children and their families using both sign language and auditory verbal techniques (hearing aid and cochlear implant users). She has lead and developed many parent programs and is Hanen certified. She is on the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP).
