Speech-Language Pathologist
Arzoo started her journey towards being a registered speech language pathologist as a volunteer with Advantage Speech Language Pathology Ltd. back in grade 12. Working as an SLP assistant and earning a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Sciences from UBC later, she completed her Master’s in Speech Language Pathology from University of Alberta in the summer of 2025.
During her graduate school experiences, Arzoo has been involved with the Alberta Aphasia Camp and chairing the Speech and Hearing Month committee with her MSc program. She has worked in a specialized preschool setting (Providence Child Development Society), providing therapy for children with genetic conditions, hearing impairments, autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, and mental health conditions. She has also worked in various inpatient units at a few hospitals in Alberta providing support for individuals with dysphagia, aphasia, and cognitive-communication disorders.
She values advocacy, outreach, and providing therapy through neurodiverse-affirming, trauma-informed, and family-centred approaches.
Arzoo is passionate about working with gestalt language processors, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), speech sound development, early language acquisition, dysphagia, aphasia, and cognitive-communication disorders.
When Arzoo isn’t working, you can catch her playing volleyball, running, attending spin classes, making art, and trying out different restaurants.
