Volunteer
Cora earned her BA with a major in Speech Sciences at UBC in 2022, and cannot wait to begin her studies in the Masters of Speech-Language Pathology program at UBC in the fall. She is passionate about helping those with communication difficulties experience their lives to the fullest, and has experience working with individuals with ASD, Down Syndrome, and various forms of dementia. She volunteers for the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association's BC Youth Peer Support Program, where she creates resources to support deaf and hard-of-hearing youth in navigating their communication challenges. Cora is currently working with Dr. Glenda Mason on the Children's Development Speech Project, which investigates children's pronunciation of multisyllabic words.
Cora is a certified ISTD Modern Dance, IBBFA Barre Fitness and High Fitness instructor and currently teaches at UBC Recreation. In her spare time, you can find her either in the studio or the gym!
