Speech-Language Pathology
Lydia completed her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences at the University of British Columbia. She is a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist with experience in acute care, inpatient rehab, school-aged services, and early intervention. She has supported adults with dysphagia, aphasia, dysarthria, cognitive-communication challenges, and communication needs associated with various medical conditions.
She also has a background in pediatrics through clinical placements in early intervention and the school district, where she provided language intervention, supported access to Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and worked with young clients to build social communication skills and improve speech sound production. Lydia is passionate about functional, evidence-based care and values close collaboration with clients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams.
Lydia is bilingual in English and Mandarin. She is committed to providing compassionate, functional, culturally responsive, and client-centered care/services tailored for individuals of all ages.
In her free time, she enjoys staying active, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She also loves exploring new restaurants and bubble tea spots.
