Mia is currently a student majoring in Speech Sciences at the University of British Columbia, with hopes to enter the Speech-Language Pathology field after obtaining her undergraduate degree. Mia has volunteer experience with Advantage SLP in addition to shadowing across the Lower Mainland and doing SLPA work in the Fraser Valley.

She takes a special interest in syntax, speech production, and reading comprehension, to name a few. In the future, Mia wishes to help others to strengthen their skills in these areas and to see them succeed!

To become more involved in her communities, Mia worked as an assistant farmers market manager, currently volunteers with Advantage SLP, and is currently the president of the UBC Knit & Sew Club for the 2024/25 school year.

In her free time, Mia likes to crochet, read, tend to her plants, scrapbook, or spend time with friends and family.
