Speech-Language Pathologist

A Speech-Language Pathologist who enthusiastically comes to play at work, Mike comes to Advantage Speech-Language Pathology with a background of using creative means to explore communication. Mike enjoys the use of improvisation and theatre sports games in therapy to expand social success and foster healthy interactions. Previously, Mike has worked with kindergarteners with language disorders, preschoolers with a variety of needs including dysarthria and Childhood Apraxia of Speech and adults in the stroke unit at Canada's largest rehabilitation hospital.

 

Mike has a Master of Science from the University of Alberta and did his undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia in Linguistics and Psychology.

 

When not working at Advantage Speech-Language Pathology, Mike regularly treats Deaf and hard of hearing clients in individual and group settings. Mike's other SLP passions include voice, accents and fluency.
